Mason's Court sells for £520,000

THE controversial sale of Mason's Court in Stratford-upon-Avon has banked Stratford Town Trust £520,000.
It sold at an auction held at The Marriott in London's Grosvenor Square yesterday, Monday.
The identity of the new owner has yet to be revealed.
The 15th century, Grade II-Listed building is thought to be the oldest residential property in Stratford.
But it requires £1million of vital repair work, according to the Town Trust, which said it could not afford.
The sale led to a protest being held outside Mason's Court last week and Stratford Society made a failed, late minute attempt to halt the auction.
