Stratford Town sign goalkeeper Ross Etheridge on loan from Nuneaton Borough
STRATFORD Town have signed goalkeeper Ross Etheridge on a one-month loan from Nuneaton Borough.
The former Doncaster Rovers shot-stopper will go straight into the Town squad for Saturday's FA Cup first qualifying round tie against Alvechurch at the Arden Garages Stadium.
Etheridge has made one appearance for the National League North outfit so far this season, a 1-0 defeat at home to Chorley.
The 23-year-old will fill the void of Nathan Vaughan, who looks set for up to four weeks on the sidelines after aggravating a thigh injury in Saturday's defeat to Kettering.
"Ross has got massive experience and is a very talented keeper," said Town's joint caretaker boss, Steve Walker.
"He will give us the security at the back we needed with Nathan Vaughan’s injury keeping him out for at least four to six weeks.
"This one-month loan helps all parties and Ross will be a big asset to us moving forward with important games coming up.
"I'd also like to thank Nuneaton Borough for helping us get it through in time to register him for the FA Cup."
