Ambulance service wins top award




WEST Midlands Ambulance Service has won Ambulance Service of the Year at the Health Business Awards ceremony this week.

The award was presented to non-executive director Jacynth Ivey and paramedic Rob Moore who said, “We're over the moon. So much work going on all over the trust to make things like this happen.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service covers a geographical area of approximately 5,000 square miles and serves a population of 5.6 million people living in Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Coventry and Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the Birmingham and the Black Country conurbation.

The Trust has a total number of 4,000 members of staff and uses 864 vehicles.
