ATTEMPTED MURDER CASE LATEST: Man charged following Stratford firearms incident




A MAN has been charged following in incident in the early hours of Monday 4th December on Brookside Road, Stratford-upon-Avon in which a 17-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

Abdi Adbirizakh Ali, aged 18, of St Peter's Road, Leicester has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life.

Ali was arrested in Bristol on Friday 8th December. He appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates Court this morning Monday 11th December and was remanded to appear at Warwickshire Crown Court on 4th January 2018.

The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Detective Inspector Tim Sharp said: "Following this incident we launched a thorough investigation and we continue to try to locate another male in connection with it.

"We're still keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, especially anyone who saw two males or a car acting suspiciously in the area or making off from Brookside Road in the early hours of Monday morning."
