A RESTAURANT owner from Stratford has raised £500 for Prostate Cancer UK following a series of football matches at the DCS Stadium, home of Stratford Town FC.

Carl Pritchard, owner of 33 The Scullery on Greenhill Street, staged the matches to celebrate his 60th birthday.

Meanwhile, another £2,300 was also handed over in support of under-11 Stratford Town Colts player Enzo Buquet. Enzo is currently fighting lymphoma after being diagnosed in June this year.

The money was raised at a special football fun day at Knights Lane recently, where the Bishopton Primary School pupil got the chance to meet former Premier League footballer Stiliyan Petrov.
