Charity bike ride raises cash for Alzheimer's
NATHANIEL Street from Wootton Wawen has got on his bike to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
He recently completed the Great Shakespeare Ride and raised £1,000 for the charity.
Nathaniel, aged 30, was motivated to do so after he met and spoke with a recently widowed customer during the course of his work as a network supervisor with gas distributor Cadent.
She told him how her husband – and several close friends – had suffered from the condition.
Until then, keen cyclist Nathaniel, aged 30, had enjoyed ambling through the countryside near his home.
But he was so touched by the woman’s description of the illness, and its devastating effect on sufferers and their families, that he promptly signed up for the Great Shakespeare ride.
