COMPETITION Win chance to open new Magic Alley

THE new Magic Alley flagship store and attraction in Stratford’s Bell Court will be opening its doors to visitors for the first time at midday on Saturday, 14th April — and they’re looking for someone extremely special to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.

In this exclusive competition with the Stratford Herald, we are looking for the world’s greatest opening spell whether it be ‘Alohomora!’ from Harry Potter; ‘Open Sesame!’ from the Arabian Nights; or ‘Izzy Wizzy, let’s get busy!’ from Sooty and Sweep.

Or, you might like to be really creative and come up with your own!

The lucky winner will get to perform their opening spell and cut the ribbon and, along with three family members, will be treated to a night out at the Everyman Cinema and a meal in one of Bell Court’s new restaurants, as well as receiving a huge basket of goodies from Magic Alley!

The only way to enter is using the form on page 10 of this week's Herald.

Speaking about the work on the new attraction, Magic Alley founder, Dave Matthews, said: "It's progressing really well and we're on schedule for our 14th April opening.

"All the rooms and exhibits are taking shape and this week we've started building the cantilevered buildings, a life-size two storey Magic Alley inside.

"We've been physically working on this project for a year-year-and-a-half now and it's been in the planning for around two years, so it's fantastic to see it coming together, and it's all happening so fast.

"We're very happy to be using only local tradesmen for the project, and we believe that Bell Court really is the place to be in Stratford, it's going to become the hub of the town."
