LOCAL hospice supporters set Stratford-upon-Avon town centre alight with neon last weekend.

The Shakespeare Hospice’s seventh Glow Walk raised money so it can continue to care for the local community. The service the hospice offers is free to its users and will continue to be so due to the loyal support of people in south Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.

Hayley Roberts, marketing and communications at the hospice said: “Let It Glow was a brilliant success. Seeing the beautiful Stratford town centre filled with people having fun, covered in festival style face paint, neon tutus and glow sticks was fantastic. We certainly made our mark.”

It costs around £2 million a year to run The Shakespeare Hospice. Only five per cent of the funding comes from the NHS so the hospice relies on community support for its survival.
