Golf centre in Studley closes

GOLF Alchemy Limited has announced the closure of its golf centre in Studley.
Owners said the decision had come at the end of a “sad week” after 25 years of trading which will now see the golf range plus the pitch and putt areas all shut down.
It’s thought the range can no longer be maintained due to collapse in some areas of the course which is located on the site of an old refuse tip.
In parts the refuse has resurfaced and damaged greens and in others the greens have sunk.
Golf Alchemy are hopeful of salvaging some of the golf course in the future but for the time being it remains closed.
