Man arrested after teenage boy is shot in Stratford-upon-Avon

DETECTIVES are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a firearms discharge in Stratford-upon-Avon, where a teenage boy was injured.

Police were called at around 4am on Monday 4th December to Brookside Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, by West Midlands Ambulance Service, after a 17 year-old boy was found with a leg injury.

Officers have today, Friday, 8th December arrested an 18 year-old man in Bristol, on suspicion of attempted murder. The man, from Leicester, remains in police custody at this time.

Detective inspector Tim Sharp from Warwickshire Police said: "We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries into this incident and I would like to appeal to anyone who has any information which could help our investigation to come forward."
