New Currys PC World to open this Friday
Stratford will welcome the return of Currys PC World this Friday with the opening of the company’s brand new store at the recently refurbished Maybrook Retail Park.
The store, which will see the Currys, PC World and Carphone Warehouse brands all brought together in one place, will create 21 new jobs.
The 15,000sq ft store will be the first to open at the recently refurbished Maybrook Retail Park, with Lidl set to open their new supermarket at the site in the near future.
There will be many in Stratford happy to see the return of Currys PC World to the town, with the firm having formerly occupied a unit at the Maybrook Retail Park a number of years ago.
Anand Surti, store manager at Currys PC World, Stratford-upon-Avon, said: “We’re delighted to be serving the town of Stratford-upon-Avon and are really excited about our new shop that brings together Currys, PC World and Carphone Warehouse all under one roof. So, whether you’re interested in the latest phone, buying a new appliance, TV, smart speaker, laptop or cooker, we have the products and expertise to help you.
“We’re bringing together a brilliant team of people who love technology and providing excellent customer service and we can’t wait to open our doors and help everyone enjoy amazing technology.”
The new store will feature a reserve and collect service, offer advice and product expertise through a Team Knowhow Bar and will house a Business Centre, supporting local businesses.
It will be officially opened on Friday (15 February) by Stratford mayor Cllr John Bicknell and a member of staff who worked at the previous Currys store eight years ago.
Pupils from Welcombe Hill School will perform at the opening while a raffle, opening day deals and cakes and food will be offered to customers.
