And the business is going from strength to strength. Not only do they offer a quaint tea room with outside seating and a cosy courtyard, for those in a hurry, there is also a takeaway shop right next door! ‘Home-made is best’ is the philosophy and the varied menu has everything from soups, quiche’s, homity pies and scones.

Plus, there are lots of delicious cakes too, such as Victoria sponge, coffee and walnut cake and bread pudding to name but a few.

Their bread comes from the local bakery and all the homemade food is made from locally sourced fresh ingredients. In the licensed tea room there are a variety of tasty sandwiches, toasties, paninis, jacket potatoes, soups and salads served — and even cream teas and high teas for those treats and special occasions.

Among the favourites are Haviland’s delicious fresh sausage rolls, pies and pasties from a Cornwall-based company called Cornish Connection. To wash it all down Havilands serves “Picollo Mundo” coffee and “Tea Pigs” tea, as well as Luxury Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate and a variety of soft drinks. If time is of the essence then a takeaway is for you!

All the food is made to order and served by a dedicated friendly team. And their services don’t stop there. Havilands also offers a sandwich delivery service and outside catering to surrounding businesses, private parties and events.
