School rated 'excellent' by inspectors
WARWICK School has been rated 'excellent' by the The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
Head Master Gus Lock, who is leaving the school this summer to take up the position of Headmaster at Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School, Hertfordshire, said: "The school justly received a report which recognised its excellence across many aspects of school life.
"Overall, we are delighted to receive such a positive inspection report and one that, rightly, emphasises the tremendous qualities of our boys and staff.
"I am particularly pleased with many of the inspectors’ comments, including that pupils are highly supportive and respectful of their peers across all age groups, and openly celebrate each other’s successes and have real pride in their own achievements."
Mr Lock will be replaced in September by Dr Deneal Smith, currently Under Master at Westminster School.
Warwick Preparatory School, which is also part of the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation, had a Regulatory Compliance inspection at the same time as the Warwick School inspection, and was judged to have met all the required standards.
