Social media survey findings to be published
A SURVEY is being run by Warwickshire Public Health department as it moves to established the the impact of social media on young people.
Ten- to 18-year-olds have had their say on the positive and negative effects on health and wellbeing in an online poll.
It runs until Thursday, 29th March with the findings will be published in September as part of the annual report of Dr John Linnane, the county’s director of public health.
The topic will be the main thrust of his 2018 annual report.
Cllr Les Caborn, Warwickshire County Council’s portfolio holder for adult social care and health, said: “This forms a key part of our commitment to putting young people at the heart of all we do.
“Understanding their experiences will not only allow us to compare the situation in Warwickshire against the national findings, but also to make recommendations to provide information, guidance and support to young people, professionals and parents or carers.”
