A SCREENING of the first episode of BBC daytime drama Shakespeare & Hathaway — Private Investigators will be held in Stratford.

The BBC put 150 tickets for the screening at The Other Place on Friday, 9th February, up for grabs in a public ballot, all of which have now been snapped up.

The RSC venue is featured in the series, which was filmed in Stratford and around south Warwickshire last summer as Jo Joyner (Luella Shakespeare), Mark Benton (Frank Hathaway) investigated the fictional secrets of rural Warwickshire’s residents.

The cast and producer Ella Kelly will take part in a question-and-answer session hosted by Midlands Today presenter Rebecca Wood.

The ten-part drama will be broadcast on BBC One from late February. Will Trotter, head of BBC Daytime Drama, said: “We’re looking forward to seeing the audience reactions to the first episode.

“It’s got a whodunit storyline with a brilliant introduction to the main characters, but leaves you with some questions which makes the audience want to come back for more!”
