South American-themed restaurant Beleza Rodizio opens in Bell Court, Stratford
A TASTE of Brazil has come to Stratford with the opening of Beleza Rodizio steak restaurant in Bell Court.
The South American-themed restaurant is the second to be opened by owner Nico Jamil, with the other one in Hull.
Guests at the launch last Thursday (15th August) were treated to the grilled meat and excellent service it is renowned for.
The restaurant also has an outdoor terrace that seats 30 guests.
Nico told the Herald: “We were beyond thrilled to welcome everyone to Beleza Rodizio’s launch party and opening night.
“This has been a labour of love, a dream we’ve nurtured for years, and seeing it come to life with such vibrant energy and excitement is truly humbling.
“Our goal has always been to create a space where people can come together to enjoy not just incredible food but an unforgettable experience, rich in the flavours and warmth of Brazilian culture.”
Speaking of the restaurant’s move into the 4,500sq ft unit, revamped by interior designers Copper and Ash, Nico continued: “I am so happy we chose Stratford for our second location and even happier that the local community has welcomed us with such enthusiasm. Tonight is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to share this journey with all of you.”
Among the guests at the colourful opening, complete with Latin American dancers, was Stratford mayor Cllr Jason Fojtik.
He commented: “I thought it was brilliant and very distinctive in the taste and flavour.
“It was top quality and my son-in-law, who joined me and who is a former chef, himself said it was some of the best meat he’s ever tasted.
“The choice of food was just amazing and the overall experience was great and so was the environment.
“I think it’s fantastic they’ve chosen to come to Stratford and, as they’ve already got another restaurant in Hull, we should be honoured they’ve opened in Stratford – they must love the place.”
The new restaurant take its name from the Portuguese for ‘beauty’ – beleza – while rodizio refers to the way the waiters rotate around the room with the skewers of different grilled meats, stopping off at tables to carve.
Stratford resident Richard Hartley, who also attended the launch said: “There were various cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken served on skewers at the table. The chicken was particularly tasty and my favourite but it was all lovely.
“ I will probably be going again with a group of people because it is an interesting and different type of restaurant in Stratford, so refreshing.”
