Tranquility Garden to open at Stratford Cemetery
A TRANQUILITY Garden will be officially opened next week at Stratford Cemetery offering people the chance to reflect and remember loved ones in a peaceful and natural environment.
Stratford Town Council began a consultation process regarding its proposed Tranquility Garden last May and spoke with those involved in the burial industry in order to create a place of tranquility for the bereaved to spend time.
“Our aim throughout was to provide a garden which offers a perfect setting for ash burial plots and, having been advised by all the funeral directors that this was of vital importance, a dedicated area for the scattering or ashes. Additionally, we were keen to provide opportunities to commemorate those who may be interred or scattered elsewhere. We believe that the Tranquility Garden within Stratford Cemetery on Evesham Road, admirably fulfills the criteria set down, and is a true reflection of our original aspirations,” said Sarah Summers, town clerk at Stratford Town Council.
The official opening of the Tranquility Garden is Saturday, 20th May.
