A TEENAGE boy was airlifted to Walsgrave Hospital and a motorcyclist was taken to Warwick Hospital following a road collision in Shottery on Wednesday evening.

The 15-year-old pedestrian suffered head injuries and was airlifted by a Midlands Air Ambulance crew from Strensham, meanwhile a motorcylist suffering less serious head injuries was driven to Warwick Hospital as a result of the same collision in Quineys Road, Shottery at 5.50pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that a paramedic support officer, an ambulance and an air ambulance - which landed in nearby playing fields - attended the incident.

Hathaway lane was closed in both directions at about 6.30pm.
