Work set to start on new Wellesbourne medical centre
Long awaited work on Wellesbourne’s new medical centre is expected to start on 9 January.
The £4million surgery will replace the village’s existing Hastings House Medical Centre and will be sited on Dog Close.
Once completed it will house 11 consulting rooms, a minor operations suite and will have the capacity to expand for a growing population in the future.
Lynda Scriven, clerk at Wellesbourne and Walton Parish Council said: “We are absolutely delighted to see work getting started on the new medical centre, the news will certainly be welcomed by Wellesbourne residents.”
According the Anne Prior, chairman of Wellesbourne and Walton Parish Council, 9 January is the provisional start date, though there are one or two highways issues that may still need to be addressed.
