MANAGER Carl Adams said that he could not have asked any more of his players following Stratford Town’s 0-0 draw with title hopefuls Weymouth on Saturday.

Both teams had plenty of chances to secure victory, but there was little to choose between two committed teams at the MoodChimp Stadium.

Saturday’s stalemate followed a 2-1 home defeat by Hereford and despite picking up just one point from a possible six, Adams was delighted following a couple of “tremendous” performances.

“It was another great effort from my lads,” said the Town boss.

“We followed up a tremendous performance against Hereford in midweek with another one against Weymouth and we fully deserved our point.

“We’ve had a tough run of fixtures recently and done really well in all of them.

“Although we haven't come away with a lot of points, we have certainly come out with a lot of credit.

"I'm chuffed to bits with my lads and we're showing some really good, entertaining football and people are enjoying coming and watching us."

Stratford are back in Evo-Stik League Premier South action on Tuesday when they go to Basingstoke Town. They return to the MoodChimp Stadium on Saturday to take on another promotion contender in Hitchin Town.
