Alcester among the goals in Hospital Cup progress

ALCESTER Town produced the only away win in six opening-round ties in this season’s Hospital Cup in the Stratford Alliance.

The competition opened on Thursday night, with Alcester booking their place in the quarter-finals, with a 6-3 win at Inkberrow Reserves.

Shipston Excelsior Reserves were also among the goals to defeat South Redditch Athletic 5-1.

Alcester will now head to Quinton in the last eight next Thursday, while Shipston entertain FISSC, who defeated Ilmington United 3-0.

Alveston knocked out Henley Forest 4-2 and will now travel to Badsey Rangers, who edged out Bretforton OB 2-1.

Feckenham Reserves had a 3-0 win at home to Badsey United to earn a tie at Studley United.
