Alcester's winning run comes to an abrupt end
The first half started as a fairly even affair, both sides struggling to play much football in very tricky conditions, but it was the home side who were creating the better opportunities in front of goal on two occasions firing narrowly over the bar.
They took the lead when a clearance from Town goalkeeper Rich Layton fell short and Robbins' second attempt failed to get any distance. The Hibs midfielder sent in a speculative shot from way out and it swirled past Layton and into the net.
Town huffed and puffed, but were struggled to create any clear-cut chances.
After the interval, the home side doubled their lead when a long ball from the left was helped home on the volley to make the score 2-0.
Robbins changed shape and personnel sending on Steve Nurse for Eastell but they could not find their way back into the game.
An excellent ball from Jack Banks on the right flashed across the face of goal, but Matt Layton was unable to get any sort of contact on the ball.
With Town pushing on to cut the deficit, Hibs scored on the counter-attack and put the game to bed.
Next up for Alcester is another game against one of the top sides in Barton, who travel to Stratford Road this Saturday.
