NICK Ballinger has stood down as manager of Stratford Town Youth.

Ballinger departs after a highly successful two seasons with the team, culminating in winning the MFYL League Cup a week ago.

Darren Timms will take charge of Town next season, in conjunction with the club’s Future Pro coaches.

Ballinger said: “I have decided to stand down from my youth team duties. It’s been a great season, with two lads signing for professional clubs, we’ve won the League Cup, while our under-18s also won the MJPL Cup.

“I brought Darren to the club and he’s worked alongside and under me for the last five years. It’s been a very successful partnership and I’ve taught him all I know!”
