STEVE Hedderman says the absence of teenage midfielder Ed Caswell will be a big miss in Saturday’s home game against Inkberrow.

The 18-year-old Caswell has been an ever-present this season after pushing from the youth ranks.

But he is not available this weekend as Shipston seek a third win on a row on home soil to continue their climb up the Midland League Division Three table.

“Ed has stepped up to the challenge of being in the first team this season and he has started every game,” said manager Hedderman.

“It’s a shame he is not available. He has become a real driving force for us.”

Better news for Hedderman is that four of the six first-teamers missing last week in the win against Boldmere S&S Falcons should be back in contention.

Will Brocklehurst, however, is still away while a knee injury keeps out Alex Seys.
