Coles named as new manager of Central Ajax
TOM Coles has been named as the new manager of Central Ajax.
The 38-year-old replaces John Beacham-Sharpe, who stood down from the role at the end of last season for personal reasons.
Coles was previously manager of Ettington in the old Midland Combination, leading them to promotion in 2006. He was also player-boss at Alveston in 2011.
More recently, Coles has been playing under Steve Hedderman at Shipston Excelsior, but an ongoing knee issue forced him take an early retirement.
"I had the possibility to stay and join Steve behind the scenes, but felt Central Ajax was the right move for me now," said Coles.
"They’ve got a really good squad and not looking to make big changes but rather add some extra quality in certain areas once I’ve had chance to meet with them all."
