Departing Poulson has no intention of returning to football management
DAVE Poulson has no intention of returning to football management after he stands down at FC Stratford.
Poulson announced last month he will quit his role at the MoodChimp Stadium at the end of this season.
Two other clubs have approached Poulson since he signalled his intention to leave, but the former Alcester boss says this will be his final campaign in football management, one he still hopes will end in promotion.
“The enjoyment side for me has gone,” said Poulson.
“For me, it’s almost become like a second job, there has been so much change.
“I really like Stratford as a club, but personally, I wish I packed it in after Alcester and not gone back into management.
“I definitely won’t be involved again. A couple of clubs have spoken to me, but I’ve told them I’m not interested. I just don’t want to do it anymore.
“I hope I can still get us promotion and I feel we are more than capable of doing so.”
FC Stratford take on Inkberrow on Saturday, aiming to follow up Thursday's victory over Midland League Division Three champions-elect GNP Sports.
