Didcock claims the Halford honours

GARY Didcock claimed victory in Shipston AC’s fishing contest at Halford Bridge last Sunday.

Thirteen anglers fished the match, which saw the river still up a bit from the rain the day before and slightly coloured, resulting in mixed catches along the whole stretch.

Didcock had the top weight with his all-chub haul weighing in at 8lb 5oz.

Second place went to Les Ashby (6lb 11oz), followed by Dave Smith in third (6lbs 1oz).

Chub and roach seemed to be the fish that were feeding and the biggest chub was 3lb 6oz, caught by Brian Pallet.
