FORMER England internationals Tom Croft and Matt Tait joined more than 550 parents, players and staff at Warwick School’s annual rugby presentation evening.

The evening marked the end of another successful campaign for the school, with both the under-15 and under-18 teams reaching their respective finals at Twickenham earlier this season.

On top of the under-18s being crowned national champions and the under-15s as runners-up, the evening was also an opportunity for those players having achieved national caps to present their jerseys to the school.

Nick Rigby and Nick David represented England under-18s, Tom Fawcett England under-17s and Angus Macdonald Scotland under-16s.

The most improved team of the year was awarded to the under-15 A squad, sevens team of the year went to the under-14s, while team of the year went to the first XV.

Across the age groups there were 50 boys who gained representative honours at academy level with Northampton, Wasps and Worcester rugby clubs.

The evening also gave the chance for team members to say farewell to Mark Nasey, Warwick School’s director of rugby for 13 years.

During his time in charge, rugby at Warwick has grown dramatically with additional C, D and E team fixtures being fielded and five national titles attained with seven further runners-up positions.
