SNITTERFIELD Colts have hit the back of the net - thanks to funding from a councillor’s grant fund.

Councillor John Horner handed over £500 from the Warwickshire County Council’s grant find which has gone towards updating and improving equipment including new nets and goal posts at Snitterfield, an FA Charter standard club.

The Colts Under-11s side has enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season, winning four and drawing one in the Warwickshire Boys’ League.

“We are thrilled to have received support thanks to the council and are confident the project will encourage a sense of pride amongst our members and in turn attract more young people in the local area to come and join us and take up a team sport,” said team coach Colin Chambers.
