JESS O'Riley's hard work and dedication has finally brought rewards as she achieved a podium finish in the latest round of West Midlands Youth races at Solihull last weekend.

The Stratford Cycling Club member has been placed fifth or six in the majority of her races this season, but O'Riley claimed second this time around.

Meanwhile, Sunday saw three members of Stratford CC competing in the Hinckley CRC 10 mile time trial.

Amongst them was 13-year-old Baden Green, for whom the event had added importance as it was the qualifying event for the national final of the GHS 10 mile championship later in the season.

In his first time trial, he produced a creditable performance recording a time of 29.02 seconds to finish third overall in the youth section and first boy in the 13-year-old category.

The GHS final will be held on 10th September, using a circuit close to Alcester and is organised by Stratford CC, who will have a busy weekend as they are also promoting the national circuit time trial championship the following day.
