SHIPSTON Excelsior boss Steve Hedderman is refusing to panic after his side crashed to a 4-1 defeat at Birmingham Tigers on Saturday.

Tigers took control with two goals in the space of five first-half minutes, before Shaye Eden instantly replied with a fine strike.

Two further goals in the second half saw Tigers coast home and Hedderman said: “We’ve just got to dig in now. There is no point feeling sorry for ourselves and we need to stand up and be counted. We’re not going to panic.

“Anything that could go wrong, did go wrong on Saturday. We are having something of a defensive crisis at the moment with five out injured. It’s a case of all out attack for us, but, unfortunately we are not scoring.”

Hedderman looks set to make a number of changes for this weekend’s Challenge Vase clash against Enville Athletic at London Road.
