STRATFORD 2nds produced another excellent bowling and fielding display as they swept aside Dorridge by seven wickets.

Archie Walker and Sam Douthwaite both bagged three wickets apiece as Dorridge, who smashed 380 the week before, were dismissed for 128.

Will Noble (27) and Dexter Purser (17) got the run chase off to a fast start before both falling to the excellent bowing of the Dorridge leg spinner Mohammed Akeel.

Paul Malkin then saw Stratford over the line, his unbeaten 49 sealing victory in the 34th over.

“It was a superb performance,” said skipper, Josh Hickman.

“For the third week running we put in an excellent bowling and fielding display and then effectively chased down the target.

“With three wins on the bounce we have moved up to third and our league campaign is now building momentum.”
