League restructure reveals Stratford Town's opponents for 2018/19

STRATFORD Town have been provisionally placed in the Southern League Central Division for the 2018-19 season following the meeting of the Football Association’s Leagues Committee on Thursday.

The restructuring will considerably ease the travelling burden on the club and its supporters, with long treks to the likes of Weymouth, Dorchester Town and Tiverton Town being replaced with games against Midlands-based teams such as Alvechurch, Bedworth United and Halesowen Town.

Nine clubs from last season's Evo-Stik South Premier are set feature in the new division, but that figure does not include local rivals Banbury United, who have been placed in Southern League South.

There are still some long distance trips on the horizon for Stratford, with Suffolk trio Needham Market, Leiston and Lowestoft Town all moving over to Southern League Central from last season's Bostik Isthmian League Premier Division.

All allocations are subject to FA appeal over the next week.
