Stratford Squash Club’s Mariam Eissa wins the English Senior Women’s Championship




STRATFORD Squash Club’s Mariam Eissa has won the English Senior Women’s Championship.

The teenager, who has already won the English Under-19 Championships, beat Oliver Besant 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 11-9 in the final at Lexden Rackets and Fitness Club, Colchester.

In the semi-final, Eissa came up against number one seed, Isabel McCullough. She won a hard-fought, five-set match 11-6, 11-9, 9-11, 11-13, 11-4.
