STRATFORD'S Birmingham League Division Two match against Shifnal was abandoned as a result of heavy rain.

The league's highest individual score of the day came from Shifnal’s Steve Leach, who hit 128 not out from 132 balls.

Jack McIver chipped in with 52 and Shifnal’s total of 240 for four had an imposing look about it before the match was called off.
