Michael McGrath receives his player of the year award from Herald sports editor Martin King at the Falcon Hotel in Stratford on Tuesday night.

MICHAEL McGrath has been named the Herald's Stratford Town player of the year for the 2015-16 season.

The former Rushall Olympic man edged out supporters' player of the year Andy Kemp and the ultra-consistent Kieren Westwood to claim the coveted award.

McGrath has added a touch of class to the Town side this campaign, forming an excellent partnership in midfield with former Leicester City academy player Jack Roberts.

Other winners on the night were striker Richard Gregory, for finishing as the club's top goalscorer and Kemp, who was re-presented with the supporters' player of the year award.
