Night Golf event proves a huge success

MEMBERS of Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club recently experienced the game in a rather different format when more than 60 players competed in a Night Golf competition.

With the tees, fairways, hazards, greens and unique flags all lit up in different colours, it created a great spectacle.

Players were provided with approved golf balls containing LED lights which illuminate so the whole flight of the ball could be seen through the air.

The winning team of four were Tony Brookes, Kevin Sherlock, Simon Elliot and John Elliot.

Club manager, Dan Hacker, said: “I’m delighted with the support shown from both members of many a year and from those who have recently taken up membership at the club.

“It was a really enjoyable night for all involved.”
