Oakey leads way as weights begin to improve

ROB Oakey claimed victory in the third round of Shipston Angling Club’s Aston Magna Tankard Series.
With the weather warming the pools up, the weights are starting to improve and the winning weight was made up of mainly small crucian carp.
Fifteen anglers competed on the day, with Oakey finishing as winner with 31lb 6oz. Andy Bruce (27lb 13oz) was second, while Chris Hallows (24lb 3oz) was third.
They were followed by Gary Didcock (21lb 8oz), Chris Coleman (20lb 0oz), Les Ashby (18lb 14oz), Stuart Fleming (15lb 1oz) and Colin Barratt (10lb 10oz).
