STRATFORD'S Andrew Pozzi qualified for Tuesday's 110m hurdles final after winning his heat at the Commonwealth Games.

England's world indoor champion clocked 13.29 seconds and will be expected to challenge for gold at the Carrara Stadium.

Team-mate Dave King failed to make it after coming fifth in his heat in 13.74 seconds.

The Stratford AC member, who qualified fastest, said: "We're going to see some good times. Just to get the first one out of the way is always good.

"It's very hot and there's not a lot of shade on the warm-up track so we've had to change the preparation to stay out of the sun.

"I feel in really good shape and that was a quick first run so I'm happy."
