STRATFORD AC hurdler Andrew Pozzi ran an Olympic qualifying time to go top of the British rankings at the Loughborough International on Sunday.

The 24-year-old, in only his second outdoor race since 2012 because of awful injury problems, clocked a new personal best of 13.32 to win the 110m hurdles.

Pozzi's run leaves him needing just one more qualifying standard and a top-two finish at the trials in June to book his spot for Rio. It also places him joint 17th in the world rankings heading towards the Games.

Pozzi tweeted: "Really, really happy to run a PB and Olympic qualifying time in Loughborough. Hard four years, but worth the wait."

Fellow Stratford AC athlete Rory Dwyer was also in action at Loughborough, bowing out with a best height of 2.09m in the high jump after just missing out on 2.13m.
