Shrewsbury Town at home the reward if Stratford Town win replay
STRATFORD Town are a win away from entertaining Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup first round.
The Bards will host the League One outfit on Saturday, 6th November should they get past National League North side Boston United in a fourth qualifying round replay at the Arden Garages Stadium on Tuesday.
Paul Davis's men ensured they remained in the hat for the first round draw by putting in a sterling performance to hold Boston to a 1-1 draw yesterday, Saturday.
After going behind to Fraser Preston's 22nd-minute free-kick, Jaanai Gordon got Stratford back on level terms ten minutes later when he headed in from Will Grocott's corner.
The Pilgrims would eventually finish with ten men after substitute Jake Wright jnr was sent off for two yellow cards.
The hosts always remained a threat on the counter, but the Bards held on to come away with a deserved replay.
