STRATFORD and Handsworth fought out an exciting tie in a rain-affected Birmingham Premier League Division Three match at Swans Nest Lane on Saturday.

The Panthers were chasing a revised total of 160, in 34 overs, in response to Handsworth’s total of 154-6 in 34 overs.

Kamau Leverock hit 63 for Handsworth with skipper Mike Brown taking 3-30 for the home side, who required four to win off the last ball.

The ball was struck into the outfield, where it was dropped by a fielder and Stratford completed three runs to take their total to 159-8.

David Bailey hit 60 for Stratford and Winston Lewis took 3-11 for Handsworth.
