Stratford Golf Club's ladies crown perfect summer with victory

STRATFORD-on-Avon Golf Club’s ladies’ section crowned a perfect summer with victory in the Warwickshire Silver Division Foursome Knockout final.

The team of Skye Furnace, Paula Winwood, Jacki Belchambers and Charlotte Atkinson beat Coventry GC in the final played at Leamington and County Golf Club.

Meanwhile, Stratford hosted their successful Ladies Autumn Open with 116 entrants from more than 30 Midlands-based clubs.

Stratford member Linda Edgington and her partner Gill Saker, from Coventry GC, swept to victory on 43 points over four pairings from Stratford, Droitwich, Ladbrook and Tadmarton, who all scored 40 points.

The club now looks forward to a busy autumn calendar with a full fixture of competitive and social events to participate in.
