Stratford lose in run-fest against Sentinel

STRATFORD suffered their first Birmingham Premier League Division Three defeat of the season as Sentinel claimed a 47-run victory in a run-fest at Swans Nest Lane on Saturday.

Craig Heath (108no), Mal Serplet (81) and David Laird (55) saw Sentinel rattle up 306-4 before the Panthers were dismissed for 259.

John Price top-scored with 76 and Jake Salmon hit 44 for Stratford, while George Cheshire picked up three wickets for the visitors.

Stratford 2nds (258) also failed to follow up their opening-day win as they were edged out by eight runs against Wombourne 2nds (266-3).
