Stratford move out of bottom two with victory over Shifnal




STRATFORD moved out of the bottom two of Birmingham League Division Two following a narrow seven-run victory over promotion-chasing Shifnal.

Rob West hit 89 in a Stratford total of 220 for eight at Swan’s Nest Lane, which Shifnal responded to with 213 all out.

Charlie Home hit 85 for the visitors but Stratford’s Mike Brown picked up five for 69 as his side secured a valuable win in their fight to avoid relegation at the end of their first season back at this level.
