Stratford runner Bobby meets track legend Coe

STRATFORD runner Bobby Bullingham met World Athletics boss Sebastian Coe ahead of her run in the Beirut Marathon last Sunday.

Bullingham met the Olympic track legend during the opening ceremony of the event held in Lebanon.

Former King’s High School pupil Bullingham finished an excellent 93rd in the race, 19th female and first in her category in a time of 3.30.48. More than 43,000 runners took part.

The 31-year-old has lived for most of her life in Stratford, before moving to London to become a junior doctor at the Royal Free Hospital.

Coe himself also went to school in the town, having attended Bridgetown Primary School and Hugh Clopton Secondary School before his family moved to Sheffield.
