STRATFORD completed a record-breaking season with victory over Crewe & Nantwich at Pearcecroft on Saturday.

The Black & Whites triumphed 41-31 to seal a third-place finish in Midlands 1 West, which is the club’s highest finish in their history.

Nath Geekie and Callum Cook scored two tries apiece, with others coming courtesy of Nick Taylor, James Southall and Jack Young.

Geekie converted three of the scores to take his personal tally to 16 points.

“We can be very proud of what we’ve done this season,” said Stratford director of rugby Tom Rance.

“We’ve beaten every team in the league this season and to be able to say that is massive.”

Stratford 2nds are also celebrating after winning Warwickshire League 1, after opponents Newbold failed to raise a side last weekend.

Stratford won the title by three points, winning 14 of their 18 games this season.

Elsewhere, Southam won their promotion decider against Evesham to seal promotion to Midlands 2 West (South).

Southam won 13-0 in front of a sizeable crowd of 500 at Kineton Road.

Shipston signed off with a 34-10 win over Harbury, while in Midlands 4 West (South), third-placed Claverdon lost 31-8 at Redditch.

In Midlands 5 West (South), bottom club Wellesbourne ended their campaign with a 48-0 defeat to Birmingham Exiles.
