Stratford siblings secure biathlon glory

STRATFORD-based brother and sister Sebastian and Isabelle Hopper ran and swam to victory in the East Midlands Regional Biathlon Championships at Bingham Leisure Centre in Nottingham.

The biathlon is a multi-sport event comprising the swimming and running events from the five in the modern pentathlon.

The pair are keen participants in this sport as they are both members of both Stratford Athletic Club and Stratford Sharks Swimming Club.

After the running stage, Sebastian was in first place and Isabelle second in their age groups after solid runs.

Sebastian cemented his first place with a good swim. Isabelle set a new personal best in her swim to move herself into first place.
