STRATFORD crashed to a 44-run defeat at Birmingham League Division Three strugglers Whitchurch on Saturday.

The Panthers fell well short of that target, despite 60 from opening batsman Luke Nardone, who was ninth out at 100.

Sam Douthwaite (15) was the only other Stratford batsman to reach double figures as as Dan Bowen took four for 44 for Whitchurch.
