Stratford Town announce new stadium sponsor

STRATFORD Town have received a huge boost ahead of the new Evo-Stik South Premier season by announcing a lucrative sponsorship deal with social media dating app firm MoodChimp.

The Stratford-based firm have signed up as the club’s new stadium sponsors, with the ground now being known as the MoodChimp Stadium.

MoodChimp’s backing comes as welcome news following the exit of former sponsors DCS Group, who withdrew their long-term support last year due to the company’s relocation to Banbury.

An app that describes itself as “fun and flirty” will no doubt raise eyebrows of some Town supporters, but the firm’s founder and chairman, Hayden Garrison, is confident it is a move that suits both parties.

He said: “I’m very proud to be supporting the club.

“It’s an exciting partnership and we want to play our part in the next chapter of the club’s success story.

“I always wanted to give something back to my local club, especially as it’s the spiritual home of the MoodChimp app and we also wanted to bring a bit more colour to Knights Lane!”

Club director Andy Chilton was delighted with the deal and says the new sponsor’s commitment to the club is “very compelling”.

“We’re delighted to announce this exciting partnership,” said Chilton.

“It continues our association with the leading local businesses and the story of Hayden coming up with the concept of MoodChimp whilst sat in our Baxi Bar is particularly special.

“Hayden’s commitment to the club is very compelling.”
